Somebody finally turned 12!

The problem with early birthday parties is that you have to have another one on your actual birthday! Or at least you have to have cake!

Since Cameron turned 12 on a Sunday she got to go straight into Young Women's. It's the beginning of the end isn't it.

Fall Adventures

In the morning on September 29 Ryan decided to try running up some mountains near our home. He said the trail got pretty steep and it was a real challenge but the view was amazing.

Later that afternoon while I was at Women's Conference he took Evelyn and Austin for a walk to see the cows. Evelyn loves the cows. Especially when she gets to hear them say Moo!

Cross Country

Have I mentioned how much I love cross country meets? Everybody runs a mile and a half and the whole thing is over in 15 min. at the most! Compare that to a 4 hour swim meet and I'll take cross country any day!

This meet was held on September 28 in Salem. It was a gorgeous day! Dallin did great and cut a little bit more off his time. 

Soccer Star

I don't know if Austin will really grow up to be a soccer star but he definitely needs sports in his life. If I could somehow channel his energy I could power my whole house.

Fall soccer is actually a real treat. We get some fun afternoon thunderstorms that roll through and make for great rainbows!

Someday maybe I will be able to run like this.

Austin has always been a kid of many expressions.

And talents. Or maybe this reflects that whole abundance of energy thing.

Is This My Life?

Yes, this is a picture of a typical week for me. Some are worse than this. Very few are easier than this. I know there are many of you out there who share similar schedules. It is what we do for the little pipsqueaks in our lives. 

Each color represents a different member of the family. And you may notice that once again this year Wednesdays are a particular challenge.

Tennis Team

Cameron played tennis for the Jr. High team this fall. She was on a doubles team with her best friend Breanna. They did really well together. These pictures were taken on September 18th as they played against a school in Payson.

Shark Tale

The day after my reunion we drove back to Utah. In Las Vegas we decided to stop for a break and see the Shark exhibit at Madalay Bay.

There were windows in the floor to watch the fish swimming underneath you. Evelyn wanted a closer look.

Cameron's Birthday Party

Cameron had a friend birthday party this year. Since she was turning 12 we decided to have a makeup party. My two friends Karen and Tara are makeup artists and came to show the girls how to do age appropriate makeup and how to take care of their skin.

We were all having so much fun I forgot to get pictures of the demonstration. But here are the "after" photos.
