Back On The Wagon

...Or is it off the wagon? I don't know. The thing is this, back in January Ryan set a goal to not eat sugar for a whole year. All I can say is crazy, crazy. But he's lost about 20 pounds and looks great and swears he doesn't crave it anymore. So I've been trying to do better in my own way and haven't bought any chocolate for over a month. Not that I've given up on chocolate. I mean, if someone gave me a piece, it's not like I was going to say no. But I figured if I didn't have it in the house then I wouldn't eat as much of it and maybe I could lose weight too. Not that it's all about losing weight. I realize sugar is just plain bad and the look Ryan gives me when I steal my kids Easter jelly beans is heartbreaking. So I really have done well, mostly out of guilt (I can't eat all of their Easter candy). But yesterday I finally gave in and bought a bag of milk chocolate chips. They were supposed to be for the cookies that I never bake. But deep down I knew they were so I could steal handfuls out of the fridge every now and then. Personally, I feel so much better. Sorry Ryan. Maybe if you drank more of my veggie shakes you would need chocolate chips too. Actually, I'm really proud of Ryan. Keep up the good work honey. At least this way I don't have to worry about you stealing my chocolate chips.

My mom is constantly doing crazy things like giving up sugar and chocolate. Me...no way! Glad you're back on the wagon.

I can remember Ryan saying on more than one occasion how much he loooooves gluten! I say eat your heart out, Lauren! (in moderation of course) =)

A day without Chocolate is like a Day without Sunshine - or My Sunshine. But we try to stay with Dark Chocolate - that's the healthy stuff. ;-)

Lauren you're hilarious! I have been trying to give up sugar, chocolate, grease, and salt for years... but I feel like I've betrayed my best friend! its torture!

Now, that's funny.
I don't have much a problem with the sweets. I do have a problem with fat and carbs though. I love anything salty, cheesy, or carb related.

I gave up sugar for a FULL YEAR. Didn't lose a single pound. And I never got over my cravings.

I love the wagon.

You are a strong woman! You look great though, you don't need to worry about dieting! Of course, being healthy is a great thing any time. I also love your new family pictures! So cute, who took them?

Everything in moderation right? A little chocolate every now and then isn't going to hurt anyone!

Isn't it funny when we tell ourselves we can't have something we tend to think about it non-stop?

Okay, so maybe that's just me!

Miss seeing you at the gym! I've stopped going, but still working out!

I think you look great too!
