Austin's Mega Birthday Party

We had Austin's friend birthday party Friday July 27th from 11-2 pm. By the time things got underway we had 21 kids there. It was mind boggling. Fortunately we had several teenagers and my sister Jacque to help.

While we waited for everyone to arrive we set up a table in the garage for the kids to play with playdough. The wind was so bad and the sky so dark I thought we might have to have the whole party in the garage. But things soon cleared up enough to keep it all outside.

Cameron planned Austin's whole party. First she created a scavenger hunt...

then we paused for a lunch break...

next she organized a water balloon toss and a few other water games

 Finally Austin got to open his presents. The wind was bad again so we took it back into the garage.

Then Cameron entertained the kids with another game (she's awesome).

And then we had ice cream sundaes with every kind of topping you could imagine.

With a little time left the kids set up the slip and slide. Whew, what a busy party. Austin was so happy!

But the day wasn't over yet...
