For Dallin's Camping merit badge Ryan took him to climb Mount Timpanogos on August 3rd and 4th. They started late in the afternoon on Friday and headed up to the meadow to make dinner and camp.
Good night boys!
I love this picture!
Good morning Dallin!
After breakfast the boys grabbed their camelbaks and headed to the summit.
The Saddle, 1 mile shy of the summit and a great view of Utah Valley.
This is the view of the other side of the mountain.
The Summit! At the tip it reaches 11,800 feet!
This is the spine of the mountain. This picture really freaks me out.
So does this picture. Ryan thought it would be a lot faster to take the slide down the glacier.
They headed back to camp and packed up and then made the long hike back to the car. Dallin said it was one of the best experiences of his life. I'm really proud of him. His pack weighed at least 20 pounds and Ryan said he never complained. What a stud!
