This August we celebrated our 15 year anniversary! We decided to take a trip to Ouray, CO to celebrate. We've driven through Ouray before on a family vacation and loved it and it just so happened that they were having a half marathon the weekend of our anniversary this year. It sounded to fun to pass up.
Ryan's cousin Elise came to stay with the kids and Ryan and I left early Thursday morning August 9. We drove to Grand Junction in time for lunch and caught a matinee movie in their nice new theaters. The place was really great and we had it all to ourselves. Then we got back in the car and drove past Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park to Blue Mesa Reservoir where we found a place to camp for the night.
I don't think Ryan and I have been camping, just the two of us, since we were first married. It was really fun. We played games and I even won!
