Island Noon

This painting depicts how the light surrounding the island is affected by currents, winds, and the depths and shallows of the channels and open ocean. Eight people were given cameras in eight locations around the island. The photographs were taken at exactly 12:32 on July 19, 2006, the minute that the sun reached its annual zenith.
