6th Grade Egyptian Projects

These projects are pretty much my 6th grade nightmare.  Because Dallin did this last year I was all too aware of how much work it was going to take.  The students are given a list of crafts to do or papers to write that they can complete for anywhere from 10 to 25 points.  They need a total of 75 points worth of projects.  Cameron was given her assignment while we were in Moab and had two weeks to complete it.  Unfortunately it was a very busy two weeks so she squeezed it in whenever we happened to be home.

She ended up making a Sphinx out of two packages of air dry clay, a Pyramid out of rice crispy treats, and two posters, one depicting five types of Egyptian jewelry and another showing an egyptian picture with hieroglyphs.  It was hours worth of work.

We had to take one more picture before she threw these away.  It's hard to do all that work and then toss it in the trash.

Pictures taken on October 19

WOW! Being someone who does projects, I can see that there was lots of thought and time put into Camerons' projects. Way to go Cameron!
